Three black full-time professors are leaving the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology, sparking a rally of black students. Axios reported.
Graduate students told Axios about racist incidents and micro-aggression in Denver. And one faculty member said her decision to leave was “difficult” but was due to the climate at the university and the uneven workload.
A spokeswoman said the departures were of “great concern” to the university. “University leaders are working hard to address the concerns of our color faculty and will continue to do so,” she said. The university is also launching a task force on workload equity in response to concerns expressed by color teachers.
