On Friday, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) reported that more than 33,000 candidates had appeared for the PG entrance test. The test was conducted in strict compliance with the central government’s recommendations on COVID-19. The institute reported that 33,491 candidates appeared for the entrance exams for the courses MD, MS, MDS, DM, CH, scholarships, BSc-postbasic, MSc nurses.

In accordance with the recommendations, a chess entrance and an alternative arrangement of seats with reduced density were implemented. Additional measures, such as temperature scanning, mandatory use of masks, hand disinfection, zero contact between students and staff at the centers, were implemented and implemented in spirit and letter.

Digital technologies were used to register and verify candidates, and the exam was supervised by teachers from medical colleges and institutions in the area.

The institute said that “to minimize the needs of candidates on travel, the number of cities has been increased from 60 to 157 with at least one center in each state. Based on the election of candidates, more than 97 percent of them were nominated to the city of their choice or within 100 km.
