MIDNIGHT BILERICA, Massachusetts, May 11, 2022—Curriculum Associates recently sponsored the 2022 Alabama School Leadership Scholarship Program (SSA) to help recognize and support students and faculty across the state. The 12 scholarship recipients – eight high school students intending to pursue a degree in education at one of Alabama’s public colleges or universities, and four faculty members planning to pursue a school administration degree at one of the state’s state colleges or universities – will each receive $ 1,000.
“One of the SSA’s top priorities is to promote high-quality public education in our state. This has become even more critical as we face a crisis of teacher shortages not only in Alabama but across our country, ”said SSA Executive Director Ryan Hollingsworth. “We hope and believe that these scholarships will help in the process of rebuilding our workforce by helping these qualified students and education leaders achieve their career goals. These recipients have demonstrated a commitment to quality in our schools, and we, along with the curriculum staff, are proud to be able to help them obtain their degrees. ”

We look forward to each of these students studying in college and eventually re-entering K-12, this time with the well-deserved title of “teacher”.
