No matter how famous an artist is, they started out as unknowns. It took writing some REALLY GOOD, if not GREAT, stories to get traction. Then and only then did the public want to know who the author was.
Audiences want images and stories above all else. Only if they are attracted to it, they might want to know about the artist. Artists often get so engrossed in their work that they forget it’s not about them. It’s not about their struggle in traditional publishing versus self-publishing. It’s not about the research or how long it took to write the story. It’s not about hours worked or closed doors.
It is about the next final creation and the people who like that creation. This is a top priority.
Writers, especially new ones, need to stop yelling I, I, I.

Yes, I realize I have repeated the STORY over and over again. This is because this journey. Your story should lead the way. You just follow along, giving him and his sisters more energy to keep going. Make it a lot less about you.
