Barnsley College of Arts students demonstrate skills – FE News

Barnsley College higher education students showcased their work at two end-of-year exhibitions in downtown.

Undergraduate and undergraduate students of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program (Hons) will be showcasing their work at the Cooper Gallery on Church Street until Thursday, May 26th. Visitors are invited every day from 10.00 to 16.00.

The Cooper Gallery event follows from a successful exhibition hosted by third-year students at The Civic Theater earlier this month.

These two activities gave students the opportunity to demonstrate a wide range of works covering topics such as personal stories, comic personalities, LGBTQ +, politics, mental health and the formal qualities of materials and techniques.

Third-year student Daisy Pennington said:

“The exhibition at The Civic was wonderful, it was very busy at the opening, and everyone present was delighted with our work. The reception of visitors to the exhibited works exceeded my expectations, as everyone was fascinated by the work. “

Another third-year student, Macy Wilmat, added:

“We have combined a diverse range of works from photography to sculpture, large-scale paintings to plastic mobile phones hanging from the ceiling. We filled the space well, and teamwork brought us all together, and there were good reviews from visitors. ”
