Before stormy weather in Germany will rise to 34 degrees

It will be hot, hot, hot: The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts a sunny, stuffy day for the entire country on Wednesday, ahead of thunderstorms on Thursday.

A hot Wednesday followed by a stuffy, stormy Thursday in Germany

A hot and sunny day is expected across the country on Wednesday, with temperatures up to 31 degrees in some regions. The coolest temperatures will be in the extreme northeast, southeast and coastal federal states of Germanybut temperatures are still expected at 20 to 24 degrees.

Elsewhere, a maximum of 26 to 31 degrees is expected, making Wednesday a scorching day by May standards. Residents of the Rhine and Moselle regions, as always, will experience the highest temperatures. Make sure you dig up your sunscreen if you spend a lot of time outdoors!

The temperature is expected to reach 34 degrees on Friday

After a glorious sunny day on Thursday the picture becomes a little more mixed. Hot weather in Germany there is almost always thunderstorm weather, and this week is no exception. After a cheerful, sunny start to the day, DWD reported that in the afternoon clouds from the north and northwest would begin to rise, bringing with it “strong thunderstorms and the risk of severe weather”.

Even if it doesn’t bring rain to your area, it will mean great hot, stuffy weather with a maximum of 27 to 33 degrees or a little colder on the coast. Thunderstorms will take place in the south on Friday night, will bring strong gusts of wind and heavy rains, temperatures up to 34 degrees.

The weekend looks repeated, sunlight mixed with clouds and occasional rain, but the temperature seems to finally drop, to a maximum of 18 to 26 degrees. So you seem to need sunglasses, sunscreen, an umbrella and a raincoat – all in one day!
