Cambridge Regional College and Futures for You are holding lunch webinars on employment - FE News

Cambridge Regional College and Futures for You are teaming up to host a series of interactive webinars designed to improve employment opportunities.

To eliminate barriers to attending trainings and develop adult employment skills, Cambridge Regional College and Futures for You, representing the National Career Service in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough counties, have launched their latest collaborative work “Lunch and Learn” which offers free hourly webinars on employment during lunch.

Claire Dolan said: “We are excited to work with NCS Careers Advisors to deliver these new training webinars to adults who want to develop their employability skills. Lunch and training sessions will be held from May, and more information, including dates and content of all webinars, can be found on our website. https://www.camre.ac.uk/about/events/».

Study at lunchtime

The new value-added collaboration consists of four webinars at lunchtime, held once a month, starting at 24th May 2022 and covers topics such as code violation, language use for getting a job, creating a great LinkedIn profile and hints and tips for interview-to-interview.

Susie Kitching, a career counselor, said: “Working in partnership with Cambridge Regional College will allow us to connect with people who really need our support. Webinars will be conducted by experienced, qualified career counselors, and reservations can be made through the National Career Service at https://10to8.com/book/nationalcareersservice/select-staff-and-location-if-needed/?service=1633743&prevent-change-service=true».

A series of webinars complements the existing range of fully funded employment courses at Cambridge Regional College, which aim to improve the skills and employment opportunities of adults in our community. The full range of employment courses can be found here https://www.camre.ac.uk/courses/employability-skills/
