Central Office Wed. Education (CBSE) bifurcates board exams (Grade 10 and Grade 12) for two different phases for the 2021-2022 study session, but the Ministry Education wants only one phase of examinations, as it was in the pre-academic era.
Following the instructions of the Ministry, CBSE can restore the dondemic format board exams from next year. One day CBSE restores the old exam pattern, students will not have access to either two stages or a flexible practical scheme.
According to a senior official in Education Ministry, single term board exams for 10th and 12th grades may return from the 2022-23 training session.
For the current training session, the first phase of the exams was completed in December last year. According to CBSE, the second stage of the exams will begin on April 26 offline.
In 2020 and 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible to conduct commission exams.
