Scott Jaszczyk, Editoris one of the three founders Inside the higher ed. Together with Doug Lederman, he manages the newsroom Inside Higher Ed, curating news content, opinion, career advice, blogs and other features. Scott is a leading voice on higher education issues, regularly quoted in publications across the country and contributing articles on colleges to publications such as The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Salon, and in other places. He has been a judge or columnist for the National Magazine Awards, the Online Journalism Awards, the Folio Editorial Excellence Awards and the Education Writers Association Awards. Scott was a mentor in the Hechinger Institute of Education and Media Community College Fellowship Program at Columbia University’s Teachers College. He is a board member of the Education Writers Association. From 1999-2003, Scott was editor Chronicle of higher education. Scott grew up in Rochester, New York and graduated from Cornell University in 1985. He lives in Washington.
