If there’s one thing successful women in housing have in common, it’s their ability to do shit. Whether they’re leading a team, running a business, or anything in between, women are dominating the industry and clearing a seat at the table for a new generation of women to do the same. It is because of this energy and desire to grow together that we are excited to start HW annually with the Forum of Influential Women on October 3.

“I have had the pleasure of serving on the editorial board of Women of Influence for the past several years. After continuously watching women in our industry lead by example, dedicate time to mentoring others, and perhaps most notably, implement changes at companies that have significantly moved the housing market forward, I couldn’t be more excited that these women leaders together in one place,” said Brenna Nutt, director of HW+ and events at HW Media.

Forum of influential women will include several panel discussions, a keynote and an opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s leading executives. Panels include “(In)mentorship: how to find it and keep it,” “The good, the bad, and what we need to talk about: The real talk about work-life balance” and “Women in leadership: turning statistics into reality.”

Managers like it Bank of America AJ Barkley, Sr Mortgage Bankers Association Marcia Davis, Lateral Hilary Saunders and Princeton Mortgage Courtney Graham will share her insights from decades of experience in the industry. The Women of Influence Forum will also conclude with a workshop to take everything covered during the day and find ways to put the lessons into real action plans. While we know there isn’t a perfect 12-step plan to living the life of your dreams – or there wouldn’t be – this workshop offers attendees the opportunity to connect with other leaders at the conference and learn more about what they have succeeded. Our leaderboards include Kalaram Federal Credit Union Leora Ruzin, ServiceLink Caitlin Green and Principal Lender Annmarie Edwards.

“This event was designed to create honest and real conversations with other influential women in the space. I would also like to emphasize that this event is open to everyone, so please join us as we all work to create more places at the table for women,” said Nath.

HousingWire’s annual Women of Influence Forum is a limited half-day event that offers attendees the opportunity to hear from female industry leaders and engage in candid and real conversation with their peers. If you subscription to HW Annualbe sure to select an additional forum ticket so you don’t miss panels like this one. Register for the forum and HW Annual here.
