The University of Delhi on Thursday published recommendations for the “century” exam for students who have dropped out, stating that eligible candidates can appear for a maximum of four jobs per year and up to eight papers for semester tests.
The portal of registration of interested candidates will open on May 1, the university said.
The students who dropped out were given a one-time chance in connection with the celebration of the centenary of the University of Delhi, which begins on May 1.

The proposal was approved at an extraordinary meeting of the Executive Council on January 28, which discussed the celebration of the centenary of the university.
The guidelines, issued by registrar Vikas Gupta, state that undergraduate and graduate students, as well as those studying professional courses who have completed their coursework and the legal requirements provided to complete the course, will be considered for a centennial chance.
However, undergraduate and graduate students who were unable to obtain a diploma will not be considered for this chance, the instructions said.
Eligible candidates may appear for a maximum of four jobs for the annual exam mode and up to eight jobs for the semester scheme.
A preliminary survey will be conducted during October this year and March next year physically. It will be held for a theoretical and practical exam, not for internal assessment, the university said.
The university said that when applying for the “century of chance” students must submit details and documents in accordance with the requirements.
“Failure to provide details / documents in accordance with the requirements may result in non-consideration of his / her candidacy for the Centenary Chance examination.
“In addition, students do not have the right to request assistance in any forum on this issue,” – said in the instructions.
The cost of the exam will be Rs 2,000 per job.
