The results of the distribution of the first round seats were announced by the Coordinating Institute of the General Proposals Acceptance Portal (COAP) of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Registered students can access the results of the distribution of places from the official website – coap.iitm.ac.in. Candidates who are satisfied with the allotment can confirm their acceptance by June 11. The information brochure also contains an indicative schedule of upcoming key consultations and four additional online rounds.
The General Proposals Acceptance Portal, or COAP, is a common platform for registered students where they can choose a college that prefers MTech programs from BP participants.
The registration window for COAP is open, and candidates who have obtained the GATE qualification (2018, 2019, 2020) can register online and participate in the upcoming rounds of counseling.

The participating institutions make a short list and allocate places based on their selection criteria and publish the admission status on the COAP portal.
