Are you thinking about creating a SharePoint site for your project?
SharePoint sites can be great for projects for continuity, convenience, and for your team. But how do you make a SharePoint site specifically to help and improve your project?
Why create a SharePoint site for projects?
Think of your SharePoint site as a one-stop shop for everything you need for a project. What I love about this is that when you get bombarded with emails from your project team about everything they need from you, all you have to do is send them a link to your SharePoint site and make sure they have access and they will get good going.
Then your project team members can access what they need themselves, and you don’t have to have your hands on absolutely everything related to your project. You can let your project team do what they are there for!
How to create a SharePoint site for projects
To create a SharePoint site, you need to have Office365.
Depending on your organization, you may need to contact your IT department to create one for you. Otherwise, you can create it yourself on the Office 365 home page.
Creating a SharePoint site is not difficult, but there are a few aspects of it that you should know and some things that are important to include.
To better teach you how to build a SharePoint site step by step, I made a YouTube video showing my screen as I build a SharePoint site from scratch so you can see all the steps involved and how to make a SharePoint site functional for the project.
So, head over to YouTube with me to learn!
In the meantime, if you want in-depth tutorials on all things project management, make sure you check out my online course SLAY Project Management where I teach you absolutely everything you need to know about successfully managing a project from start to finish.
