Inner Peace – Be cool, calm and collected

Some people are rich but their relationships are bad. They have a big title at work, but don’t look much like mom or dad at home. They are successful, but everyone knows how they have achieved this success. Maybe that’s why they don’t sleep. Are you cool, calm and collected?

Inner peace is not only about the ability to resolve conflicts; it’s good to know you’re human honor and integrity. This awareness that you are doing the right thing serves as a role model role modeland make a difference in the lives of others. This allows you to hold your head high and sleep well at night. Marvin Gaye of Motown fame once said, “If you can’t find peace within yourself, you’ll never find it anywhere.” What some people overlook in their quest for power, fame and fortune is that following your conscience and having inner peace clearly outweighs the material rewards along the way. After all, you have to live with yourself for the rest of your life.

If you’re looking for peace of mind, seriously consider these 15 guidelines:

Accept responsibility. Be the master of your own destiny, don’t shift your responsibility onto others. Take responsibility for your choices and the consequences of your actions.

Find your purpose. Make a difference. When you do something for pleasure rather than reward, the reward is often the pleasure of doing it.

Live with pride. Do what’s right, not out of fear of getting caught, but because your integrity matters.

Be smart. Aim for excellence, not perfection. Perfection is more than enough.

Develop a relationship of trust. Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you. Earn their trust by proving you’re worth it.

Make everyone a winner. Focus on win-win relationships, not winner-takes-all. Look for areas of common interest where everyone can benefit, rather than optimizing your individual situation.

Be grateful. Find out the meaning enough. Find your happiness by not looking for more, but by appreciating what you already have. (He is a cool, calm and composed writer.)

Strive for balance. Enjoy the journey as well as the destination. Happiness is not a matter of intensity, but of balance.

Learn to say no. Make your priorities a priority. Know what is most important to you and don’t be willing to compromise those priorities at any cost.

Live in the moment. Leave the past behind. There is nothing you can do to improve your past, but you can learn from it to improve your future.

Clean up your world. Take the load off your mind. Don’t let fear, guilt, worry, jealousy and anger oppress you.

Control what you can. Keep things in perspective. You can’t control the uncontrollable, but you can control how you react to it.

Be true to yourself. Reach for the stars and be proud of your accomplishments, but also be proud of how you achieve them.

Create good karma. Give of yourself not because you expect anything in return, but because seeing the happiness of others is a worthy reward in itself.

Keep your head up. Be proud of yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, why should anyone else?
