Profound Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of national learning provider, Learning Curve Group (LCG), was rated EXCELLENT in 2 areas and GOOD overall by Ofsted in a recent inspection.

An important proven position was its adult learning programs, which account for 70% of the learning provider’s program learners. Ofsted called it “outstanding” and commented that “leaders and managers have a clear and ambitious strategy to deliver a range of inspiring programs that respond to local, regional and national priorities”.

Learning Curve Group develops training programs in industries that meet regional skills needs. They work closely with employers and local authorities to identify skills gaps and provide training to help employers recruit and get more people into work.

The training provider scored GOOD in five areas, including quality of education, behavior and attitudes, personal development and education programs for young people and apprenticeships. Getting a GOOD overall performance.

Brenda McLeish OBE DL, Chief Executive Officer, LCG said:

“I am delighted with the results of our recent Ofsted inspection. At Learning Curve Group, our mission is to transform lives through learning, empowering people with the skills and knowledge to succeed. Therefore, it is incredibly important to us that we continue to meet high standards of educational quality.

Overall, I am very grateful to our “Purple People” who worked so hard to get us 2 Excellent and maintain our overall Good rating. One of our key feedbacks from this inspection was that ‘all staff firmly put learners at the heart of everything they do’, which I am incredibly proud of.”

The Ofsted report highlighted that LCG “offers excellent careers support for learners and prepares them for real working life. Students like to study in programs that prepare them well for further education or employment.’

“As a result of the training and the strong relationships the leaders have developed with employers, learners gain new knowledge and skills and acquire appropriate work behaviors that meet local needs. Pupils value their training and the support they receive from staff.”

LCG offers a range of learning programs to students across the country, including apprenticeships, online courses, face-to-face programs at their academies, internships and apprenticeships. The training provider supports more than 200,000 learners each year to gain new skills.

‘Purple People’, LCG’s dedicated staff, strive to change lives through learning and are guided by their strong core values. LCG has already accomplished their mission of transforming a million lives through education, but they are not stopping there. The training provider is constantly developing its services and links with employers to reach more learners, make education more accessible and ensure high quality training.

This was LCG’s second Ofsted inspection this academic year, with the provider receiving an overall ‘Good’ rating in both inspections.

Brenda McLeish OBE DL said: “I am extremely proud of all our provision and welcome the opportunity to show inspectors the important work we do to change lives. We look forward to Ofsted visiting us again to inspect our other subsidiaries.”

Profound Services Ltd was acquired by Learning Curve Group in 2018 and has since been run as a subsidiary of the entire group.
