The Vice Chancellor of Oxford University has announced a targeted fundraising of £ 3 billion. Part of that – £ 1.25 billion – has already been raised in the framework Oxford thinking companies.

One of the current privately funded projects organized by the university is to raise £ 100 million to help graduate students who have now suffered from higher annual fees. The scheme is due to take effect in 2017, with 60 per cent of the proceeds coming from charitable donations and 40 per cent from the university. Masters and doctoral students will be eligible for scholarships.
