New Delhi, March 29th
The study of physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) in the twelfth grade will not be compulsory for admission to courses in architecture, fashion technology and packaging technology, AICTE said on Tuesday.
Students with no PCM subjects in Class XII may also apply for UG courses in these three disciplines, according to the AICTE Handbook. It reflects the recommendations of an expert group that was previously at AICTE on what technical disciplines can be studied without PCM.
Students with the following subjects in Grade XII – Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Engineering, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Research and Entrepreneurship – will now be able to enroll in architecture, fashion and packaging technology courses. –
