Political hopes are turning to the NFT to raise funds for the by-elections

Some by-election candidates are experimenting with NFT to help raise money and arouse interest in their companies by following the example of artists as well as major consumer brands, even as the broad market for such goods has cooled.

Venture capitalist Blake Masters is launching a second round of incompatible token offerings after big mining earlier this year to help fund his Senate bid from Republicans in Arizona. Democratic House nominee Shrina Kurani of California and Democratic Senate nominee Stephen Olikara of Wisconsin also sold NFT, seeing them as a new way to join supporters outside of typical tricks such as T-shirts.
