Reinhald Würth is a German self-made billionaire who owns screw and tool manufacturer Würth. Würth’s wealth is estimated at $14.8 billion, making him one of the richest Germans. His family office will be a the best German family office.
No dedicated Wuerth family office, but own private bank
The main source of Reinhold Würth’s wealth is the private company of the same name. In 1956, Würth joined the company and has since developed it into a market leader operating in more than 400 countries and realizing annual revenues of more than 14 billion euros.
As far as our research team is aware, there is no dedicated Würth family office. However, Würth owns more than 94% of the private bank “Internationales Bankhaus Bodensee” (IBB). The bank has its own private banking and is a leader in lending to German football clubs. Würth bought IBB shares from LBBW in 2005 and 2006.
In addition, Würth is an ardent patron of art, culture and science. His art collection “Sammlung Würth” has more than 18 works of art, including works by Emil Nolde, René Magritte and Max Ernst. Würth also has its own Würth Foundation.
