St. John’s University will close its Staten Island campus in the spring of 2024. Spectrum News 1 informed.

In the fall of 2023, freshmen will not be accepted. Junior, senior, and graduate students will be able to earn a degree on Staten Island.

In the fall of 2000, the Staten Island campus had 2,309 undergraduate and graduate students. In the fall of 2021, only 861 people studied at bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

St. John’s is also establishing a scholarship fund to support future Staten Islanders attending the main campus in Queens.
