As the children’s holidays begin and the kids need some entertainment, one local chef is offering plenty of activities to keep them busy for the next six weeks.
Chef Matej Baran of Posh Street Food, Seaburn, offers a range of services to keep you going, with a selection of events including Culinary workshopsa Create a cake contest and Cooking with children as well as cookery demonstrations in Keele Square, Sunderland, as part of Sunderland Council Fun in the sun company.
Chef Matej Baran will hold cooking demonstrations every Wednesday from 3rd until August 31str August in Kiel Square, where he will educate his audience as he prepares a series of healthy yet delicious dishes for the audience to sample.
Sharon Appleby, chief executive of Sunderland BID, said the focus was on: “Summer fun, which is much needed.
“A lot of people have decided to stay indoors this summer and who can blame them with the fantastic weather we’ve had,” she said.
“Everyone knows that happy and entertained children equals happy parents, and that’s where our pop-up park comes in with fun, games and lots of fresh air.”
In addition to Fun in the sun cooking demonstrations, Chef Matej Baran offers two days of cooking workshops for children at the restaurant every Monday and Tuesday from 9.30 to 11.00 every Monday and Tuesday from 9.30 to 11.00, where participating children can eat their creations.
