WINTER PARK, FL – May 5, 2022 – Full Sail University is proud to announce the launch of it Bachelor of Science program “User Experience”.. This 29-month online degree program provides students with hands-on project-based learning experience. Students will exit the undergraduate program with theoretical and technical knowledge to apply innovative approaches to the development and prototyping of user experiences in all areas affected by interactive media.

“The need for user experience professionals is growing as the role of multimedia interfaces becomes more prominent,” said Rebecca Lace, Ph.D., director of Full Sail University’s Undergraduate Experience program. “Students who complete the program will play a big role in how we interact with technology in the future.”

The Full Sail Bachelor of Science program with user experience is a good option for those who are interested in interactive technology. The degree program will enhance students’ ability to generate technology product design recommendations based on human-centered data. User experience skills, such as idea generation, prototyping, research, and analysis, combine well with skills taught in other Full Sail Emerging Technology programs, such as programming.

User experience and user interface design are major areas of the degree program. In classes such as those listed below, students will gain a set of skills to be professional user professionals.

  • Design for platform standards – The course teaches students to analyze the usability and visual design of a variety of interactive media products.
  • Information visualization – During the course students will use their visual design skills and user experience to create visualizations based on case studies from a variety of industries.
  • Psychology of perception – Students will learn how biological components affect how we perceive and process information. Specific emphasis will include theories of perception, information grouping, subjective sequence, and contrast effect.
  • User Experience (UX) / User Interface (UI) for Games – In the course, students will analyze the usability and visual design of game products.

Undergraduate students of the “User Experience” program learn to analyze and experiment with theory, methods, tools, and software. In addition to designing and creating unique data-based visualizations, they will prototype UIs to implement their concepts, and conduct research that supports the implementation of human-computer interactions.

Students of the program acquire the necessary skill sets to begin their careers as user researchers, usability analysts or designers of interaction, visual and user experience with the Bachelor of Science program in Full Sail University user experience.
