Confidence in higher education careers has increased since the pandemic, but has also signaled a shift to professionals considering private sector opportunities.

As large, complex organizations, many universities are still struggling with hybrid operations divided between domestic workers and office teams. Other industry representatives are talking about disappointments over returning to office expectations.

There is an appetite for new challenges, adds Golding of PES. “People feel more adventurous and calmer with change; they understand that change does not have to be negative, and they are able to thrive outside their comfort zone. ”
