New Delhi, March 27th
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has written to the Vice-Chancellors of all central universities and colleges asking them to use the General Admission Test (CUET) scores to admit students to undergraduate programs.
UGC Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar said on Monday that CUET scores, not Class XII scores, would be required for admission to 45 central universities. Central universities can fix their minimum eligibility criteria.
“Today we wrote to the LCD, the principals and directors of all universities and colleges, to use CUET scores to enter their UG program, because with CUET there is no need to worry about writing multiple entrance tests,” Kumar tweeted. on Sunday.
Public universities, private universities and universities that are considered can also use CUET scores for undergraduate and graduate studies if they wish, Kumar said Monday.
The CUET application process for undergraduate courses at central universities will begin on April 2, the National Testing Agency said. In a public statement released Saturday, the agency said CUET would provide students who wish to enroll in any central university across the country with the opportunity to enroll in a single window.
CUET (UG) -2022 will be conducted in computer-based testing (CBT) mode, the report said.
